Tirupattur, India – December 2025 – As part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, hosted “Sadugudu 75,” a four-day All India ‘A’ Grade Kabaddi Tournament from December 25 to 28, 2025, showcasing its commitment to holistic education, indigenous sports, and community engagement inspired by the Salesian spirit of Don Bosco. The event featured 19 men’s and 16 women’s national-level teams and drew nearly 20,000 spectators. The tournament was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Handlooms and Textiles Minister R. Gandhi, with several eminent dignitaries, ministers, legislators, administrators, and sports personalities attending across the four days. Prestigious awards, including the Don Bosco Award, Rev. Fr. P. M. Thomas Award, and Rev. Fr. Guezou Award, were conferred on distinguished contributors to education and society. The valedictory ceremony saw former minister K. C. Veeramani distribute prizes. Red Army and South Central Railway clinched the men’s and women’s titles respectively, with total prize money of ₹35 lakh. Sadugudu 75 concluded as a landmark sporting celebration, leaving a lasting legacy of sportsmanship, unity, and cultural pride for Sacred Heart College and the Tirupattur district.
