Ecuador – January 2026 – On 14 January, the first edition of the School of Integral Ecological Education concluded with the presentation of the final projects. The event was attended by Fr Mauricio Leime, Delegate for Youth Ministry, and Tatiana Rosero, Director of the Salesian Institute for the Formation of Lay People (ISAFOL), who shared words of motivation and commitment to caring for our Common Home. During the day, participants presented their environmental proposals, reflecting the realities of each project and applying the knowledge acquired at the School. The projects demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental protection, the promotion of sustainable practices and the importance of raising awareness among participants. The objective of the School of Integral Ecological Education, in accordance with the POI guidelines, is to provide continuous and systematic formation to members of local environmental committees of Salesian works, focusing on the integration of the principles of Ecological Spirituality and Integral Ecology. At the end of this formation course, the aim is for the projects to be implemented and put into practice, strengthening socio-environmental responsibility and commitment to the care of our Common Home. In this way, the School becomes a starting point for ongoing processes of transformation and pastoral-ecological action in every Salesian work.
