Manaus, Brazil – January 2026 – The parish of São José Operário, in the eastern part of Manaus, welcomed over 120 young people who participated in the 2026 Youth Congress, held on 18 January, rediscovering the call to holiness. The event, now in its second edition, saw the participation of various pastoral groups and movements. The programme was varied: entertainment, preaching, activities, stands, prayer, confession, Eucharistic adoration and lots of sharing to listen to young people. The central theme referred to the lives and examples of young saints: St Carlo Acutis, St Gemma Galgani, St Joan of Arc and St Pier Giorgio Frassati. The young people were able to hear, listen and understand that yes, it is possible to experience holiness in youth. The congress was an invitation for every young person to discover that holiness is not something distant, but a possible way to transform the world through God’s love.
