(ANS – Lima) – During the solemn Eucharist celebrated in honour of St John Bosco, the new Executive Council of the National Federation of Salesian Past Pupils Peru was sworn in. It will serve for the period 2026-2031. During the ceremony, Fr Juan Pablo Alcas, Superior of the Province of Peru (PER), officially presented the President, Miguel Duharte Fernández Cornejo, and the national leadership. Before the assembly, the new President made his solemn promise, committing himself to promoting the apostolic spirit, to serving all Past Pupils with responsibility and unity, to strengthening communion among the associations, and to working in a special way for the good of the most needy young people. At the end, Fr Alcas officially declared that, from 31 January 2026 to 31 January 2031, the new process of animation of the National Federation will begin, in accordance with the new organisation and statute signed by the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard.
