Colombia – Youth ministry, missions and quality: united for a common mission

(ANS – Copacabana) – A meeting of Coordinators of Youth Ministry, Missions and the Integrated Quality Management System in the Salesian Province of Medellín Colombia (COM) was held at the Villa de Sales Congress Centre in Copacabana From 11 to 13 February. The event brought together 34 participants, representatives of all the Salesian works of the Province, who gathered to share an experience of reflection, articulation and joint planning in the service of the educational and evangelising mission. During the day, the coordinators strengthened the integration between youth ministry, missionary dimension and institutional management, understanding that these areas do not proceed separately but enrich each other for the benefit of young people. They also reviewed and planned improvements to pastoral processes, defining common strategies aimed at the sustainability of the works and permanent fidelity to Don Bosco’s charism. The meeting made it possible to consolidate networking among Salesian presences, promoting a structured plan that guarantees consistency, continuity and impact in the lives of young people, especially those most in need. In this way, quality management was taken on not only as a technical requirement but as a concrete expression of fidelity to the Salesian charism and the commitment to form good Christians and upright citizens.
