(ANS – Monrovia) – Fr Luca Barone’s first trip outside Europe in 2026 began a few days ago in his capacity as the new President of Missioni Don Bosco, the Salesian Mission Office based in Valdocco Turin. On 16 February, Fr Barone visited the Salesian oratory in Matadi and the Don Bosco Technical High School – 8th Street in the capital Monrovia, one of Liberia’s most renowned schools for the quality of its teaching, where he received a festive welcome from many boys and girls. On this missionary journey, the president is accompanied by two collaborators from Missioni Don Bosco, Lucia Brigiati, for projects, and Ester Negro, for audiovisual documentation.
