(ANS – Tlaquepaque) – The Curatorium of the Regional Centre of the Salesian Brother (CRESCO America) of the Salesian community was held in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco on 25 February 2026. During the meeting, moments of reflection, communion and planning were promoted to support the formation of the Salesian Brothers of the Region. The Provincials and some representatives from the Antilles (ANT), Central America (CAM), Haiti (HAI), Mexico-Mexico (MEM), Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG), Brazil (BCG), Ecuador (ECU) and Bolivia (BOL) participated in person. The day began with the Eucharist, presided over by Fr Hugo Orozco, Regional Councillor for Interamerica, and concelebrated by Fr Gabriel Romero, Regional Councillor for America South Cone, and Fr Ignacio Ocampo, Rector of CRESCO America. This was followed by a meeting during which a number of projections were presented with a view to ensuring that the CRESCO America formation programme continues to be ‘meaningful, relevant and faithful to the Salesian charism’. Fr Silvio Roggia, General Councillor for Formation, spoke during this session, and based on the Ratio encouraged the deepening and consolidation of the identity of the Salesian Brother. He emphasised the need for ‘an integral formation that harmonises the spiritual, community, intellectual and pastoral dimensions, in creative fidelity to the charism of Don Bosco’. At the end, the Regional Councillors offered their guidelines and recommendations, encouraging the CRESCO America formation community to continue with hope and responsibility, convinced that ‘a solid and profound formation is a guarantee of generous dedication to the service of the Church and young people’.
