(ANS) – On Tuesday 24 March 2026, the final session of the School for Formators of the Association of Salesian Cooperators (SSCC) of the Interamerica Region took place, marking the culmination of a valuable formation programme that ran from May 2025 to March 2026. The programme was structured into five modules, with quarterly meetings, aimed at strengthening the formators’ skills as educators and leaders in the Salesian style: Methodology, Pedagogy and Teaching Techniques in Salesian Formation – Agustín Bautista (Southern Mexico); Knowing Oneself and Transforming Oneself: The Trainer as a Whole Person – Gisela Mejía Bautista (Dominican Republic), Caridad Castellanos “Caruchy” (Cuba) and Alejandra Orduña (Northern Mexico); Forming from the Faith: Witnesses to the Gospel – Noemí Cerón (El Salvador) and Isaac González (Costa Rica); Educating for Evangelisation, Evangelising through Education – Malú Zárate (El Salvador); and the Concluding Module – Juanita Silva, SSCC Regional Coordinator for Formation. The school was established as a concrete response to the need for formators equipped to accompany, encourage and guide formation processes from a human, Christian and charismatic perspective, inspired by Don Bosco and faithful to the Apostolic Life Project. The aim was to prepare formators capable of accompanying both initial and ongoing formation using active methodologies in full harmony with the Salesian charism. The final meeting was attended by 59 SSCC formators from various countries, who reaffirmed their commitment to the Salesian mission and to quality formation.
