(ANS – Araçatuba) – Members of the Academic League for the Promotion of Health in Biomedicine (LAPSB) at UniSALESIANO carried out a solidarity initiative in the municipality of Araçatuba, collecting and donating around 160 kilograms of food to two care homes for the elderly. The initiative took place in two separate stages. On 26 March, the students visited the Lar da Velhice care home, delivering part of the donations collected, as well as interacting with the elderly residents during recreational activities. The students also had the opportunity to learn about the care home’s facilities and the initiatives developed for the residents’ well-being. On the afternoon of 28 March, the group visited “Lar São João”, where they delivered the remaining donations and spent time interacting with the elderly residents.
