Colombia – 35 young people take part in the “Cristo Vive” missionary experience

(ANS – Bogotá) – 35 young people from various Salesian communities belonging to the Colombia-Bogotá Province (COB) gathered at the Centro Juan Bosco Work to take part in the “Cristo Vive” youth missionary experience. The pastoral initiative, held from 29 March to 1 April 2026, included moments of prayer, formation, liturgical celebration and community activities, all designed to deepen understanding of the meaning of Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection. During the days, participants took part in various educational and spiritual activities, including guided reflections, symbolic exercises, group work and moments of introspection. A significant element of the programme, in addition to the formation and prayer sessions, was the Oratory missionary experience, conceived, prepared and led by the young people themselves. The experience proved particularly meaningful, as it strengthened the participants’ sense of service, community and Christian commitment. One of the key aspects of the gathering was the integration of formation and mission, enabling participants not only to understand the content of the Easter Triduum, but also to apply it to their own lives through service and by living out the values inherent in the Salesian charism. In this context, the Salesian spirit was clearly evident: young people evangelising other young people with creativity, a spirit of service and joy.
