Venezuela – Pastoral workers from eastern Venezuela enhance their skills at the second level of the School of Salesianity

(ANS – Los Altos de Santa Fe) – Under the inspiring motto “Educating in the style of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello”, the El Tabor Retreat House in Los Altos de Santa Fe hosted the second level of the School of Salesianity. The event, organised by the Salesian Youth Ministry, brought together 50 pastoral workers from various works of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) and the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) in eastern Venezuela. During these days of deep reflection, participants had the opportunity to explore the spiritual and pedagogical legacy of their founders. The presentations and guidance were led by Sister Jimena Jaramillo (FMA), together with Fr Rafael Borges and Fr Jorge Bastidas, who facilitated spaces for rediscovering their shared mission: to maintain an unshakeable faith and a steadfast commitment to the education and care of young people. The methodology of the meeting enabled participants to link their daily experiences to the Preventive System. Through the exchange of experiences, concrete commitments were made to enrich the educational and pastoral mission in each of their communities. Following this first session in the eastern region, the second-level formation programme of the School of Salesianity will continue throughout the country.
