(ANS – San Francisco) – On 9 May 2026, the Salesian Cooperators (ASC) from Watsonville, Richmond, Sts. Peter & Paul Parish and Corpus Christi gathered in San Francisco for a special retreat celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Association, founded on 9 May 1876 by Don Bosco. The retreat offered participants the opportunity to renew their vows together through prayer, reflection, sharing and fellowship. Centred on the spirit of Don Bosco, the gathering encouraged participants to reflect on the needs and experiences of young people throughout the Salesian Province of the Western United States (SUO) and on the ongoing mission of the ASC vocation. Throughout the day, participants focused on the call to accompany young people with presence, joy and faithful witness, remaining committed to the Salesian charism in today’s world. The gathering also served as a moment of gratitude for the dedication and service of the ASC, whose mission continues to support and guide young people in communities across the province.
