(ANS – Quito) – On 7 May 2026, at the Provincial House of the Salesians in Ecuador, a documentary focusing on the life of Fr Enio Ramalho Esteves was presented. Fr Esteves, a Salesian, lost his life last January in a plane crash in the province of Morona Santiago. The short documentary, entitled “Fr Enio Ramalho Esteves: Simplicity Becoming Mission”, was produced in collaboration with “Editorial Don Bosco y Audiovisuales Don Bosco” (ADB). The presentation event was attended by Fr Marcelo Farfán, Provincial of Ecuador, Fr Diego Rodríguez, Delegate for the Promotion of Vocations, Volunteering and the Salesian Youth Movement, Fr Francisco Sánchez, Delegate for Formation, Tatiana Capelo, Delegate for Communication, and Fr Agustinus Togo, Director of the Wasakentsa Community, where Fr Enio served as Parish Priest and Vicar. During the presentation, a symbolic copy of the short documentary was presented to Mrs Rufina Pinto, the Salesian’s mother, as a token of remembrance, recognition and gratitude.
