(ANS – San Salvador) – As part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Association of Salesian Cooperators in El Salvador, a moving tribute was paid on Saturday 9 May 2026 to seven members who have celebrated 25 years of fidelity, demonstrated through concrete signs of commitment from the day they made their promise. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the Parish of Mary Help of Christians in San Salvador. It began with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Fr Edward de la O, Provincial Economer, representing the Provincial, and concelebrated by Fr Arnoldo Cubías, Fr Mariano Miranda (National Delegate of the Association) and Fr Marcelo Navarrete, Provincial Councillor, who was also among those honoured. Subsequently, plaques of recognition were presented to each of the honourees, in recognition of their dedication and their witness of a life spent in the service of the Salesian charism. On behalf of the honourees, Sandra Cáceres expressed her gratitude, highlighting the value of their loyalty and dedication over the years, and also remembering those who were unable to attend.
