(ANS – Buenos Aires) – On Sunday 17 May 2026, the Salesian Family’s traditional pilgrimage to the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in the Almagro district of Buenos Aires took place with great enthusiasm; an event held annually on the Sunday preceding 24 May. On every pilgrimage, Mary’s attitudes show the way; attitudes through which she, as a Teacher, has left teachings and a model to follow, and as a Mother has shown her unconditional and boundless love. This year, the motto “Do whatever he tells you”, proposed in the 2026 Strenna by the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, inspired reflection and prayer throughout the journey. The entry of the image into the church was accompanied by the ringing of bells, which created a festive atmosphere in the neighbourhood. The Holy Mass was presided over by Fr Manuel Cayo, Superior of the Salesian Province of Argentina South (ARS).
