(ANS – Bolton) – On 30 May 2026, Salesian Andre Kankwenda Kabangu took his Perpetual Vows at the Provincial House in Great Britain at Bolton. The celebration was presided over by the Rector Major Emeritus, Fr Pascual Chávez, together with Fr Gerry Briody, SDB, Superior of the Salesian Province of Great Britain (GBR). On the same day, to mark the centenary of Thornleigh, a commemorative gift was also presented to former pupils and headteachers as a token of appreciation. At the end of the service, the Salesians gathered for a fraternal lunch and to share a moment of joy, accompanied by the sound of the accordion and various songs in their respective native languages.
