(ANS – São Paulo) – On 6 June 2026, the Campos Elíseos district in São Paulo (SP) hosted the first stage of the Leadership Course promoted by the Province of the Salesian Cooperators of São Paulo. Under the theme ‘Fraternal leadership and service: communicating, relating and building community’, the meeting brought together around 80 participants, including Salesian Cooperators, aspirants and friends of Don Bosco. The activities began with the celebration of Holy Mass, presided over by the BSP Provincial, Fr Alexandre Luís de Oliveira, marking the start of a formation programme aimed at strengthening leadership in the light of Salesian values. This was followed by various talks, focusing on topics such as affective communication, managing hierarchies, and challenges and responsibilities in community and pastoral contexts. The meeting was also attended by Fr Luís Antônio Amiranda, SDB, Delegate for the Salesian Family, and Sandra Regina dos Santos, a Salesian Cooperator from Itajaí (SC), who took part in the activities and contributed to the moments of sharing and fellowship. Evânio Antonio Santinon, Provincial Coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators, was also present during the day, leading some of the formation sessions and emphasising the importance of ongoing formation for the strengthening of the Salesian mission.
