(ANS – Formosa) – Continuing the celebrations in honour of Mary Help of Christians, Mary Help of Christians Parish and the Father Sciullo Salesian Museum, part of the Salesian Work in Formosa, organised the second edition of the “pilgrimage bike ride” to the Oasis of Mary Help of Christians in recent days. The Oasis is situated 30 kilometres from the capital, in the town of Tatané. Fr Carlos Bosio, SDB, Rector of the Salesian Society Formosa, gave the blessing and sent off the more than 100 cycling pilgrims who set out on the journey to encounter Mary Help of Christians through this experience of faith, commitment and fraternity. Fr Bosio himself undertook the pilgrimage on two wheels, using the historic 1972 bicycle that belonged to the second Bishop of Formosa, Bishop Dante Sandrelli. He cycled alongside the pilgrims, sharing in the effort and joy of the journey. On arrival at the Oasis of Mary Help of Christians, the community of Santa Teresita de Tatané, belonging to the parish of San Francesco di Laishí, welcomed the pilgrims with traditional local food. After a short break, Holy Mass was celebrated, presided over by the Rector of the House. This pilgrimage once again proved to be an expression of faith, devotion and fraternity, bringing together the Salesian community and numerous faithful around the Mother of Jesus.
