(ANS – Maynooth) – From 3 to 5 July 2026, the SYM Europe & Middle East Small Team met in Maynooth, Ireland, to advance preparations for the 22nd General Assembly, scheduled for 27–29 November 2026 under the theme “Dialogue as our Compass.” Sr Wismary FMA and Fr Joebeth SDB were welcomed by the Irish organising team and visited St Patrick’s College, the Assembly venue, to review accommodation and meeting facilities. Hosted at St Catherine’s Centre by Fr Cyril Odia, SDB, the team held intensive planning sessions to refine the programme, confirm logistics, and align activities with the Assembly theme. They also met SYM Ireland members, marking the significance of hosting the event in Ireland for the first time in over two decades. The weekend concluded with an online meeting of the wider Small Team, confirming that preparations are well advanced as delegates across Europe and the Middle East prepare to gather in Maynooth this November.
