(ANS – Montreal) – The “Happy Days” Summer Camp kicked off its season on 29 June 2026 and will run until 7 August. The camp has around 400 registered participants, with approximately 300 children attending each day. The organisers also offered a two-day Valdocco retreat to around 50 members of their staff, including youth leaders and coordinators. During the retreat, participants showed a strong desire to deepen both their own faith and Salesian spirituality, through the sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, a question-and-answer session and times of prayer. The enthusiasm and zeal of these youth leaders will be passed on to the children during the summer camp, when they will be running summer catechism classes for all children aged 6 to 14.
