Gozo, Malta โ October 2025. From 2 to 6 October, Malta and Gozo welcomed
the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, a native of Gozo. The visit alternated between meetings with the highest civil and ecclesiastical institutions and with the Salesian Family, and more intimate moments of returning to his human and Salesian roots.
Rome, Italy โ October 2025. With the usual double session โ Eucharistic and
academic community โ Wednesday 22 October saw the inauguration of the academic year at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS). The ceremony was presided over by the Rector Major of the Salesians and Grand Chancellor of the UPS, Fr Fabio Attard.
Ciutadella, Spain โ October 2025. On the weekend of 25-26 October, as part of the closing ceremony of the 125th anniversary of Salesian presence in Ciutadella, the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, made an Animation Visit to the Salesians and the Salesian Family on the island of Menorca, in the Balearic Islands.

terโs Square, Pope Leo XIV proclaimed seven new saints, including Sister Maria Troncatti, the first saint of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians after its co-founder, Mother Mary Domenica Mazzarello.
Cerknica, Slovenia โ October 2025. About 160 young people from the works
of the Slovenian Salesian Family gathered on Saturday, 18 October, in Cerknica for the annual meeting of the Salesian Youth Movement (MGS). โItโs good to be hereโ was the theme of this yearโs event.
Cassano delle Murge, Italy โ October 2025. From 18 to 22 October, the annual
formation and sharing meeting was held for the 24 Directors of the Salesian houses of the Southern Italy Province (IME), the Albania-Kosovo-Montenegro Delegation and the 4 Coordinators of the Works entrusted to lay people, together with the Provincial Council of IME.
Fatumaca, Timor-Leste โ October 2025. To celebrate the Jubilee of Hope, the
Salesian community at the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre (VTC) in Comoro, Dili, organised a pilgrimage in stages, which ended on Saturday 25 October beneath the large statue of Mary Help of Christians on Mount Ariana, near Venilale.
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia โ October 2025. The Ethiopian Salesian Family joyfully
celebrated 50 years of presence in the country and of service dedicated to young people through education, evangelisation and social development. Two events were held: in Macallรฉ, the Mother House, on 12 October; and in Addis Ababa, the capital, on 19 October.
