This year’s event brought together more than a hundred young people from various parishes in Yaoundé, where theology students travel every weekend for pastoral ministry, as well as some young people from neighbouring cities such as Ebolowa, Douala and Bafia. The week was packed with activities, including talks, evening reflection sessions, Eucharistic celebrations, adoration, daily Rosary, a penitential service, a collective reading of the four chapters of the Letter to the Colossians, making rosaries, a Bible quiz on the Letter to the Colossians, a Bible treasure hunt, sports and recreational evenings. The Bible Week concluded with a Mass presided over by Fr Justo Pelayo, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry of the Equatorial Tropical Africa (ATE) Province. During the Mass, the summer camp participants pledged to put into practice in their daily lives what they had learnt during the week.
