Democratic Republic of the Congo – The St Artemides Zatti Scout Group strengthens the formation of its young people through a scout camp
(ANS – Nyakadaka) – From 3 to 9 July 2026, the St Artemides Zatti Scout Group of Don Bosco Nyakadaka organised a formation camp, involving around thirty young Scouts accompanied by their leaders and the spiritual assistant, Salesian Innocent Musumba. The initiative provided an important opportunity for personal, spiritual and practical growth, in line with the values of Scouting and Don Bosco’s educational method. Over the course of the week, participants took part in various training activities focusing on Scouting techniques, first aid, Morse code communications, an understanding of the Scouting movement, outdoor cooking, sport and group songs. The activities fostered the development of team spirit, a sense of responsibility, independence and service to others, in an atmosphere of fellowship, discipline and joy. One of the most significant moments was the traditional campfire on the night of 8–9 July, during which the Scouts shared songs, games, testimonies and moments of friendship. The camp concluded with a promotion ceremony, reaffirming the commitment of the St Artemides Zatti Scout Group to the formation of young people who are responsible, supportive and deeply inspired by Christian and Scout values. This milestone symbolises their personal growth, their commitment and their determination to continue their journey within the movement.
