(ANS – Quito) – The “Ecuador Together for Venezuela” campaign, organised by the Salesian Province of Ecuador, has raised USD146,177.09 to support the Venezuelan people affected by the earthquake that struck on 24 June. The initiative mobilised communities, institutions, educators, staff, young people and external benefactors, who responded generously to address the most urgent needs.

The Salesian Province of Ecuador has expressed its gratitude to all the individuals and communities who took part in this solidarity initiative, highlighting the commitment and generosity of those who made this fraternal response in support of the Venezuelan people possible.

According to the established schedule, an initial bank transfer will be made in July to the St Luke Province in Venezuela, comprising the total amount raised to date – as mentioned, $146,177.09 – with these funds to be allocated to meeting the priority needs of the affected communities.

Aid will continue in the coming months with further contributions. In October, the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) will make a second contribution, whilst in December a third disbursement of funds from the Salesian Missionary Campaign 2026 will take place, with the aim of continuing to support the population and respond to the various needs that will arise during the reconstruction process.

The response generated by the “Ecuador Together for Venezuela” campaign reflects the commitment of the communities, the works and the benefactors to the Salesian mission, making it possible to provide organised and sustained aid to support the Venezuelan people at this difficult time.
