(ANS – Quito) – After a year of dedication, learning and commitment, four young volunteers have concluded their experience at the Salesian Project Ecuador (PSE), sharing their lives and service in the Salesian communities supported by the Salesian Guayaquil and Salesian Costa Norte Project foundations. During the period 2025–2026, Alcides Sumpinanch and Ismael Ortega served at the María Auxiliadora Community, supported by the Salesian Project Guayaquil Foundation. Kleber Molina and Fabián Tenecela, meanwhile, were part of the San Felipe Neri Community, which supports the work of the Salesian Project Costa Norte Foundation. During this period, the volunteers shared in the daily life of the educational and pastoral communities, supporting children, teenagers and young adults, taking part in educational, recreational and pastoral activities, and offering their talents to those most in need. More than just a service experience, volunteering became an opportunity to strengthen values such as solidarity, empathy, teamwork and a commitment to building a fairer and more fraternal society. Every encounter, every story shared and every challenge contributed to their personal, human and spiritual growth. The Salesian Project in Ecuador expresses its gratitude to the volunteers for their generosity, willingness and joy throughout this year of mission.
