(ANS – Guwahati) – A three-day workshop on “Participatory Models of Higher Education” was held at Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, jointly organised by the International Association of Salesian Institutions of Higher Education (IUS) and the Higher Education Commission of the Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, concluding on July 15. The programme brought together 50 faculty members from Assam Don Bosco University, Don Bosco College Chapaguri, Don Bosco College Tura, and Don Bosco College Diphu. It focused on promoting collaborative learning approaches and strengthening institutional engagement in line with the Salesian mission in higher education. Inaugurating the workshop, Provincial Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, encouraged participants to pursue academic excellence combined with holistic formation. The sessions, led by education specialists Mr. Mark Pixley and Mr. Shirish Sebastian, featured interactive discussions and practical methodologies for innovative teaching and institutional leadership. The programme was coordinated by Fr. Abhilash Vadakkekara, SDB, Head of the Province’s Higher Education Commission, in collaboration with IUS.
