(ANS – Mumbai) – The Salesian Province of Mumbai held its annual Commissions Meeting at the Don Bosco Provincial House, focusing on spiritual renewal, pastoral planning, and strengthened child safeguarding and data protection. The day began with the Eucharist, followed by the Provincial’s address and a keynote by Fr Joe Prabhu, National Youth at Risk Coordinator. The Vice Provincial urged Commission Heads to proclaim, give freely, live simply, and build peace, stressing animation over administration and closeness to the young, especially the poor. The four SEEP dimensions were affirmed as shared responsibilities across all commissions. Vocational guidance was upheld as discernment of God’s call, alongside youth leadership and social engagement. Commissions were tasked with preparing measurable 2026–2027 Action Plans aligned with the Province OPP. A key session on the Digital Personal Data Protection Act highlighted informed consent, secure data practices, and safeguarding compliance, affirming the dignity behind every record. Sector-wise meetings translated priorities into concrete initiatives. The gathering reaffirmed the Province’s commitment to collaborative mission, accountability, and safe environments for every young person.
