Tiruchy, India – January 2025 – The Salesian Province of Tiruchy officially welcomed Fr Doss Kennedy as the sixth Provincial of the Province of Our Lady of Velankanni (INT) on 3 January 2026. The installation took place at the Don Bosco Alaihal Media Centre, Tiruchy, during a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Biju Michael, Regional Councillor for South Asia, with Provincials and delegates from across the Region. The new Provincial, Fr Kennedy, adopted the motto “Together as Pilgrims to Rejuvenate Salesian Life and Mission” as the guiding vision for his leadership journey.  A cultural and felicitation programme followed the liturgy. Fr Agilan Sarprasadam, the outgoing Provincial, expressed gratitude for the support received during his tenure. In his address, Fr Kennedy thanked the assembly and expressed his desire to focus on the poorest of the poor. The celebration concluded on a very positive note marking a moment of leadership transition and renewed commitment to the Salesian mission in Tiruchy.
