Medellín, Colombia – January 2026 – The First Religious Profession of the 2025 Novices was celebrated with great joy on Saturday 17 January, in La Ceja, Antioquia. These novices come from the Salesian provinces of Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia (Medellín) and Colombia (Bogotá). The celebration was a living sign of gratitude to the Lord and of hope for the Church, confirming that the Salesian charism continues to bear abundant fruit in the service of young people, especially the poorest. The Eucharist was celebrated in the chapel of the Santo Domingo Savio school and was presided over by Fr José Ariel Guerrero Castro, Superior of the Province of Colombia-Medellín (COM). At this significant ecclesial moment, twelve young people consecrated their lives to God, committing themselves to live faithfully the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience, in the joyful, accessible and committed style of Don Bosco.
