San Francisco, CA – USA – January 2026 – From 19 to 21 January, the Salesian Society of Don Bosco in the Western United States gathered at St. Anthony Retreat, Three Rivers, for days of prayer, reflection, and fraternity. Rooted in the tradition of Provincial Assembly Days, the meeting placed special emphasis on listening to the confreres as part of the ongoing provincial reshaping process. The programme combined Eucharistic celebrations, prayer, synodal-style reflection, and dialogue within a spirit of fraternity. Each community presented reports offering a comprehensive picture of its ministry, followed by moments for clarification and discernment. The shared reflections aimed to support the Provincial and his Council in shaping future directions for the Province. The gathering reaffirmed a common awareness that current realities—especially the decline in available Salesian personnel—require new pastoral choices and sustainable models of mission.
