Guwahati, India – January 2026 – The DBSEM Principals’ Meet was held at Mario Hall, Panbazar, bringing together Principals of Salesian institutions of the Mary Help of Christians Province, Guwahati. Centered on the theme “Children Against Child Abuse (CACA)”, the meeting focused on strengthening child protection, holistic formation, and value-based education. Emphasis was placed on keeping children at the heart of all educational efforts, inspired by the Salesian Preventive System and a culture of care. Key inputs highlighted the need for guidance and accompaniment for young people in the North East context. Administrative sessions underscored the mandatory implementation of Child Protection Policies, leadership by presence, and a transition toward online financial processes in schools. A resource session addressed practical safeguarding challenges in school settings. The meeting reaffirmed the Salesian commitment to a preventive, loving, and mission-driven educational approach rooted in Don Bosco’s charism.
