Panama City, Panama – January 2026 – On Saturday, January 24, the Domenic Savio Hall of the Don Bosco Basilica hosted the 2026 Conference in honor of St. Francis de Sales, under the theme: “Salesian Cooperators: 150 Years Living Don Bosco’s Dream with the Spirituality of St. Francis de Sales.” The event gathered members of the Salesian Family and the wider faithful for a day of reflection, music, testimonies, and missionary spirit as part of the Don Bosco celebrations. The main presentation was given by Fr. Walter Jara, SDB, who explored St. Francis de Sales as a spiritual pillar of the Salesian charism and the 150-year journey of the Salesian Cooperators. A question-and-answer session followed, encouraging a lively dialogue. The day also included musical interludes, a youth testimony on the transforming power of Salesian spirituality, and a video presentation on Salesian missions, accompanied by a solidarity collection in support of missionary work.
