Colombia – Articulation Meeting 2026: strengthening the mission through charismatic unity and co-responsibility
Bogotá, Colombia – January 2026 – The 2026 Articulation Meeting took place on 22 and 23 January, at the headquarters of the Salesian Province of Bogotá, Colombia (COB), as a formation opportunityand place for discernment that brought together the delegations, environments, sectors and provincial services, together with the Economic Management, with the aim of strengthening the charismatic identity and understanding of the missionary process in terms of shared responsibility between Salesians and lay people. The meeting was led and guided by Fr Rubén Darío Jaramillo, COB Provincial, who accompanied the various reflections and formation moments during the two days. From the opening prayer, the intention was clear: to return to Don Bosco, to his founding experience and to the centrality of the oratory as an educational and pastoral model, capable of integrating evangelisation, education and human promotion. During the two days, the participants explored the figure of Don Bosco and the oratory as an educational model, recognising in Valdocco a living experience of articulation between evangelisation, education and organisation, where every service is at the service of the mission and, above all, of young people. Through presentations, moments of prayer, workshops and integrated group work, they reflected on the organic unity of the Salesian Educative and Pastoral Proposal and on the need for an effective articulation between the missionary process and economic management for a more coherent and sustainable pastoral action.
