Ethiopia – Don Bosco Adwa organises a big race for peace
(ANS – Adwa) – On the joyful feast of Don Bosco, Don Bosco Adwa, together with the FMA and other partners, organised a lively ‘Race for Peace’ in the city of Adwa. The 5-kilometre race brought together more than 1,100 participants from different categories. There were elite runners, experienced and amateur athletes, students and young people from various schools and Salesian oratories. Not only did they run for sport, but they also shared a strong message of peace and unity. In a region where stability and peace are still threatened, this event became a public sign of hope and an invitation to work together for a more peaceful future. During the celebration, there was also an award ceremony for the winners of the Don Bosco Cup sports tournament, which took place over the last two months. The best teams and athletes received awards in recognition of their commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship. Their participation reflected the Salesian spirit of joy, friendship and healthy competition.
