(ANS – Naples) – The intense days of the Extraordinary Visitation by Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, who met with the Salesian community on behalf of the Rector Major, came to an end on 3 February. These were days of listening, evaluation and renewal. Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy met the young people from the oratory, the educators in educational services, visited the Rione Amicizia, and gathered the renewal of the promises of the Salesian Family. Finally, he was able to meet everyone at the vigil at Don Bosco and at the dinner in the Giò hostel. At the end of the visit, the Salesians in Naples said ‘We take with us words that encourage and confirm: the beauty of a home that is growing, the strength of a living educational community, the responsibility to safeguard and develop a mission that is a true re-foundation, capable of responding to the challenges of young people and their families, especially the most fragile. A powerful image remains in our hearts: a family environment, made up of faces, relationships, Salesian joy and concrete hope. It is from here that we want to start again, continuing to build the future together with young people, in the footsteps of Don Bosco’s charism.
