(ANS – Bogotá) – The Salesian Province of St Peter Claver in Bogotá, Colombia (COB) and the Salesian Social America Network (RASS) played an active part in the meeting of CLAMOR Latin America and the Caribbean Animation Team, held from 26 to 30 January 2026 at the headquarters of the Latin American and Caribbean Episcopal Council (CELAM) in Bogotá, together with delegates from 11 countries. The meeting made it possible to strengthen regional coordination and to advance in the planning of services for the Preferential Option, in response to the growing challenges of human mobility on the continent. During the meeting, collaboration between networks and institutions was promoted in order to promote pastoral and social actions with a greater territorial impact, particularly in favour of children, adolescents and young migrants in vulnerable situations. This joint participation reaffirms the commitment of the Salesian mission in Latin America and the Caribbean to accompany, protect and promote migrants, strengthening processes of advocacy, formation and integral human development in the light of Don Bosco’s charism.
