(ANS – Jaboatão dos Guararapes) – On 5 February, the Salesian Novitiate welcomed 17 novices from the Provinces of Recife, Porto Alegre and São Paulo. Together with the novice director, Fr Edson Donizetti Castilho, the Provincial of Recife, Fr Francisco Inácio Vieira Junior, welcomed the future young Salesians. Before the start of the novitiate, on 3 February, the young men participated in the Eucharistic Celebration of sending forth, which took place in the chapel of the Provincial House residence in Campos Elíseos, São Paulo – SP. Family members and members of the community participated in the celebration, strengthening the bond between vocation, Church and mission.
