(ANS – Bogotá) – The First Meeting of Rectors 2026 was held at the headquarters of the Salesian Province of Bogotá Colombia (COB) on 5 and 6 February. This meeting provided a space for encounter, dialogue and planning, bringing together the Rectors of Salesian communities to strengthen collaborative work and discern the challenges of the current year. The opening day began with a speech by Fr Rubén Darío Jaramillo, COB Provincial, who encouraged participants to continue strengthening the educational and pastoral mission through communion and shared responsibility. During the day, participants engaged in a common reflection on networking, the current challenges facing their communities and the path to be followed for the coming year. The second day opened with the Eucharist presided over by the Vice-Provincial Fr Luis Fernando Velandia. Then together with the Provincial Economer, Salesian Brother Leopoldo Gómez, he led a synodal session focused on local economic management processes, promoting responsibility and organisation within Salesian communities.
