(ANS – São Paulo) – A course was held for Salesian Rectors and lay people responsible for the Sectors, Commissions, Secretariat and Special Services of the Salesian Province of São Paulo on 9 and 10 February 2026, at the Pius XI Theological Institute in Alto da Lapa, São Paulo – SP. The meeting brought together provincial leaders with the aim of strengthening formation, aligning guidelines and promoting the sharing of institutional orientations. On the first day of activities, the group devoted itself to studying the draft of the fifth edition of the Protocol for the Prevention and Protection of Children, Adolescents and Vulnerable Persons. The formation session reinforced the province’s commitment to a culture of care, the promotion of safe environments and the constant updating of its regulatory instruments. On the second day, the course was attended by Fr Gabriel Romero, Councillor for the South Cone Region, who gave the opening address for the 2026 Extraordinary Visitation to the Salesian Province of São Paulo. The Councillor’s presence officially marked the beginning of this important moment of accompaniment and charismatic animation. After the opening, the participants engaged in sharing and communication related to the dossiers of those present.
