Vietnam – Salesian Family Day 2026 celebrated at Xuan Hiep

(ANS – Xuan Hiep) – Nearly 700 members of the Salesian Family in Vietnam gathered at Don Bosco Xuan Hiep Parish, Archdiocese of Saigon, to celebrate Salesian Family Day 2026 in an atmosphere of joy and renewed communion ahead of the Lunar New Year. The Provincial, Fr. Barnabas Le An Phong, opened the event by presenting the Strenna 2026 through a video message, inviting participants to embrace its pastoral call. An engaging gameshow and musical performances made the reflection both interactive and festive, while moments of fraternal sharing strengthened bonds among the branches. In his concluding remarks, the Provincial emphasized that the Strenna is a free and faith-filled call to serve the young. The celebration culminated in a Thanksgiving Mass, during which the Vice-Provincial Fr. Joseph Nguyen Kim Khanh highlighted the simple yet profound path of Salesian holiness lived in daily life. The day ended with an agape meal, sending participants forth renewed in zeal as “weavers of dreams” for the young.
