(ANS – Goa) – The Provincial Councils of the Mumbai and Panjim-Konkan Provinces met jointly on 10 February 2026 at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel, Goa. Fr Clive Telles welcomed Fr Ashley Miranda and his councillors for the day-long meeting focused on governance and mission. The two Provinces shared best practices in animation, pastoral initiatives in youth ministry, and new developments in their respective regions. Key concerns discussed included declining vocations, the emotional well-being of confreres, and the fragility of religious life. The councils explored practical and collaborative responses to these challenges. Both Provinces reaffirmed their commitment to greater cooperation in youth ministry, joint formation programmes, lay formation, and education. In the evening, the members visited the Basilica of Bom Jesus and celebrated the Eucharist, renewing their missionary commitment. The Mumbai delegation also visited the pre-novitiate at Loutolim before concluding their fraternal visit.
