(ANS – Amatitán) – A retreat was held for the Rectors and Councils of the Salesian Provinces of Guadalajara Mexico (MEG) and Mexico-Mexico (MEM) from 10 to 16 February at the Betsaida House in Amatitán, Jalisco. The retreat was preached and directed by Fr Juan José Bartolomé, SDB. The central theme of the retreat was: ‘Discomfort in consecrated life’. It took place in silence, during which topics were presented, various meditations were experienced, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was practised, and there were opportunities for meeting and fraternal communion. The formative event aimed to help participants discern God’s daily call to live their consecration more fully and to respond as authentic disciples sent to share the mission of Jesus.
