Malta – Formation Weekend on Affective Maturity
(ANS – Sliema) – From 6 to 8 February 2026, the Formation Commission of the Province of Malta organized a weekend of ongoing formation focused on affectivity, bringing together Salesians in two age groups for reflection and renewal. Confreres aged 35 to 60 explored “Paternity and Affectivity in Relation to Our Salesian Life,” reflecting on how mature affective integration strengthens spiritual fatherhood, fraternity, and mission. Through input sessions and shared dialogue, participants highlighted the need for continued human, spiritual, and pastoral growth. Meanwhile, confreres aged 61 and above attended a seminar titled “From Imposed Affectivity to Embraced Affectivity,” reflecting on the evolution of their understanding of affective life and its freer, more conscious integration into their vocation. By addressing a sensitive yet essential theme, the Province reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing formation, fostering openness, authenticity, and renewed dedication to the Salesian mission.
