(ANS – Adigrat) – From February 10 to 16, 2026, the first group of Salesians of Don Bosco in the AET Vice-Province held their annual spiritual retreat at Don Bosco Gola under the theme, “A Sacred Pause: Back to the Heart – Centered in Christ.” The retreat brought together confreres from various communities for a week dedicated to prayer, silence, and spiritual renewal. The sessions were animated by His Excellency Abune Tesfaselassie Tadese, Auxiliary Bishop of Addis Ababa, who offered reflections aimed at deepening the participants’ personal relationship with Christ and strengthening their commitment to the Salesian vocation. Through daily Eucharistic celebrations, moments of adoration, personal meditation, and fraternal sharing, the confreres experienced a profound time of grace and recollection. The retreat provided an opportunity to step back from daily responsibilities and refocus on the heart of their consecrated life and mission. Concluding the week, the Salesians returned to their respective communities spiritually renewed, with rekindled zeal to serve the young, especially the poorest and most vulnerable.
