(ANS – Tlalnepantla) – The Spirituality Day of the Salesian Family of the Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Mexico City (MEM) and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (MME) took place on 21 February 2026. The event brought together 136 participants from different groups of the Salesian Family: ADMA, Salesian Cooperators, Past Pupils, Volunteers of Don Bosco, FMA and SDB, whose presence enriched the spiritual and formative experience of the day. The atmosphere reflected the spirit of the Salesian charism, fostering spaces for prayer, the celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation, formation and fraternal communion, creating a true oratory atmosphere. The day was presided over by the Provincials: Fr Juan Aarón Cerezo Huerta, SDB, and Sr Margarita Chavarría Primavera, FMA, who addressed a message of encouragement and exhortation to those present, emphasising the importance of living Salesian spirituality in communion and shared responsibility at the service of the youth mission. The Provincial Council Coordinators also participated: the Provincial Delegate Fr Hugo Herrera Rosales, SDB, and Sr Leticia Navarrete Macías, FMA, who accompanied the meeting and promoted a climate of discernment and active participation. The formation focused essentially on the theme of the Rector Major’s Strenna 2026 and on the role of lay people and women during the period of religious persecution in Mexico.
