India – Salesian Cooperators’ Outreach Mission to Ahmednagar
(ANS – Mumbai) – From February 20–22, 2026, 50 Salesian Cooperators undertook a two-day outreach mission to Ahmednagar led by Fr Diego Nunes. The mission began at Our Lady of Dolours Church, Wadala, and centered at Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK). The group carried donations of food grains, clothing, stationery, and financial assistance to support local initiatives. They were warmly welcomed by Fr George, Rector of BGVK, with a traditional reception. Fr Nunes highlighted the 150th Anniversary of the Salesian Cooperators and called for concrete social and pastoral action. The delegation visited St John’s Church in Bhingar and St Anne’s Church in Ahilyanagar. In the rural missions of Ratadgaon and Kandka, they witnessed impactful development programs and engaged with families and students. Supplies were distributed as students shared hopes of becoming teachers, police officers, and mechanics. A touching visit to Pumpkin House orphanage reflected the Salesian spirit of offering a loving home. The outreach concluded with Mass at Don Bosco Church, Savedi, renewing their commitment to Don Bosco’s mission.
