India – MECH XCEL 2K26 Showcases National Automotive Skill Excellence in Trichy
(ANS – Trichy) – From 23–25 February 2026, Don Bosco ITI, AMSAM, Trichy, hosted the 8th National Auto Tech Fest – MECH XCEL 2K26 in collaboration with SKIP, Bangalore, and TATA Motors Pvt. Ltd. The event provided a national platform for LEAP institutions to showcase automotive skills and industry readiness. Salesian leaders, SKIP officials, and industry representatives marked the inauguration, reflecting strong institutional–corporate partnership. A key highlight was the launch of the IFB Learning Lab, enhancing hands-on, industry-focused training. Nineteen institutions from across India participated, with 76 students and 20 instructors competing. Thirteen industry-aligned events tested technical precision, diagnostics, theory, innovation, and trainer expertise. Competitions were judged by automotive professionals to ensure high standards. Don Bosco Technical Institute, Kolkata, won the championship, followed by Nashik and Goa institutions. The valedictory ceremony celebrated the participants’ discipline and excellence. MECH XCEL 2K26 reaffirmed the Salesian commitment to quality technical education and youth empowerment.
