(ANS – Siliguri) – The Deanery of Sciences of Salesian College (Autonomous), Siliguri, hosted the decennial Two-Day National Conference on Trends in Science and Technology (TIST 2026) on 27–28 February, inaugurated by Padma Shri Dr Eklabya Sharma. The noted ecologist and 2024 Padma Shri awardee delivered the keynote address, highlighting sustainable mountain development and scientific responsibility. The conference featured six plenary lectures, four technical sessions, and 22 research paper presentations across Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics, with themes ranging from Black Holes to Parallel Computing. Sponsored by International STEAM Research, the event concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution, marking a decade of TIST’s commitment to scientific innovation and dialogue.
