(ANS – Guwahati) – The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, hosted a two-day workshop on Salesian pedagogy entitled “Educating with the Heart of Don Bosco: A Journey into Salesian Pedagogy.” The program brought together members of the Salesian Family, clerics, sisters, and teachers united by the desire to rediscover and renew Don Bosco’s educational spirit. The workshop was inaugurated on February 27 by Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Provincial of ING, who expressed gratitude to Fr. P.D. Johny, SDB, Secretary of SPCSA, for promoting workshops on Salesian Pedagogy across all Provinces of South Asia. He also appreciated the presence of Fr. Patrick Lepcha, SDB, Director of DBYA, who animated the sessions with clarity and dedication. The workshop focused on Don Bosco’s life and educational vision, the fundamental principles of Salesian pedagogy, the creation of safe and protective environments for children, and a person-centered educational approach. Through discussions, group work, and reflective sharing, participants renewed their commitment to being educators who truly educate with the heart.
