(ANS – Valencia) – From February 27 to March 1, the Second National Meeting of Animators of Oratories and Youth Centers of the Venezuela Province (VEN) was held at Casa Don Bosco in Valencia. For three days, 170 participants from across the country, accompanied by the Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry and the National Commission for Oratories and Youth Centers, engaged in formation and reflection aimed at strengthening their skills in planning, organization, and self-management—key pillars for the effective functioning of Salesian youth works. Inspired by the theme “Builders of the Kingdom, like Don Bosco and Mazzarello,” participants reflected on the need to keep hope and Christian commitment alive in Venezuelan society. Fr. Jorge Ghazal, recently appointed Provincial of VEN, and the current Provincial, Fr. Rafael Montenegro, encouraged the young people to listen to the Word of God and put it into practice in their daily service. Also present was Archbishop Jesús González de Zárate of Valencia, who urged youth animators to be “leaven in the midst of Venezuelan society,” witnesses of the Gospel through their commitment to others.
